Sustainability at ToeZone

We're specialists at making footwear that's both durable and reflects your personality, but we still have a lot to learn about sustainability. Our guarantee to you is that we are on the right road and are working hard behind the scenes to minimise our environmental effect. We also aim to make this as clear as possible, which is why the sustainability features particular to each product are listed on each product page.

 

Reimagining our masterpieces in 2020


To build a core level of sustainability, we reengineered all of our shoe lines.
We made the move to Better Cotton Initiative (BCI) laces for ALL of our laces.


Our shoeboxes are FSC certified and made from 90% recycled material with natural soya ink. All of our shoe boxes are completely recyclable.


All of our leathers are sourced from tanneries approved by the Leather Working Group.


In our lined versions, we transitioned to 100 percent recyclable PET linings.


Our traditional black Kick soles are now built with 20% recyclable material. This allows us to maintain the durability for which we are renowned and valued while utilising fewer raw resources.


Toezone.co.uk orders are shipped in FSC-certified packaging composed of 80 percent post-consumer waste. All packaging is completely recyclable.

 

2021: Providing assistance to people and exploring new materials

In November 2021, we will offer two new vegan designs (Pax and Gem) to the collection, both constructed from organic cotton textile uppers that are 100 percent vegan (including the glues). The soles were made of recycled rubber, while the uppers were made of organic cotton. This partnership aided us in establishing new relationships with suppliers and researching ecologically acceptable products.

We collaborated with our manufacturing partners to alleviate the effects of the pandemic, such as ensuring that we paid for all orders, assisting them with payment timelines, and providing care packages during local lockdowns.

 

2022: Meaningfully reducing our effect


In the second quarter of 2022, we will debut a 100% Vegan collection of our best-selling designs.


All of our in-store marketing materials will be manufactured from recycled materials and will be completely recyclable.


We will continue to give to our charitable partners and assist them in raising awareness of critical societal concerns.
